Field & Frontline Outfitters was built on a life shaped by service, ranching, faith, and the belief that the right equipment matters when the work is real.

Our founders were raised in families where responsibility, hard work, and service were simply part of everyday life.

Service runs deep in our story. One grandfather served in the Navy during World War II, and a father served in the Army during the 1991 Gulf War. When military life ended in 1992, the family settled on a ranch in Idaho raising horses and cattle. Life there revolved around early mornings, livestock, weather, and long days of honest work.

Growing up on that ranch meant learning responsibility early. Through 4-H, horses, and livestock, it became clear that when your work happens outdoors, the equipment you depend on has to hold up. When conditions are rough and the job still needs to get done, reliability isn’t optional.

Across the country in Texas, the other half of Field & Frontline Outfitters was raised on a ranch by grandparents who believed deeply in faith, kindness, and family. Her grandfather served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and lived the values that shaped her as she grew up with faith in God, compassion for others, and dedication to family. Those values are baked into the heart of our company today.

In 2004, Bret joined the United States Army during the height of the War on Terrorism. Over the course of more than two decades of active-duty service, he has deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, and South Korea. In those environments—just like on the ranch—the same lesson always held true:

Across farms, forests, mountains, and combat zones, equipment isn’t about style or trends. It’s about durability, reliability, and the confidence that when conditions get hard, what you carry will hold up.
